Eddie's Influences

Eddie main influences come from the Heavy Metal and Rock bands of the seventies and early eighties. He's a huge Status Quo fan, if you want to waste an hour of your life just ask him what the best Status quo song is and when the best version was recorded. He can whistle every solo that Francis Rossi plays (Live and recorded versions). Seriously. Back away slowly and don't make eye contact.

His other influences and the reason he started playing was the NWOBHM, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Def Leppard, Tygers of Pang Tang, Samson. He spent a lot of his teenage years going to concerts and saw just about every band of the era including all the above and Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Ozbourne, Deep Purple, Van Halen, AC/DC, Whitesnake and loads of others. He spent most Saturday nights at the Cartoon Club in Croydon watching the brilliant Dumpy's Rusty Nuts and all manner of other bands.

These days he's spread his musical tastes a bit wider but Heavy Rock remains his love.
